i have had this guy for a while and i was woundering what is it i was told it was a sail fin but was never sure so if some one could tell me that would be great ohh and its about 8''

Yup, P. Pardalis aka Common pleco.

Called 'Common' because you can buy them anyplace, but a real cool fish once they get a bit of size on them
