Need pleco ideas

Im bored with the common pleco and would like something classy next to Juruense catfish.

Does anyone have any ideas??

I will be receiving a 3-4" juru via lfs and will be in my 20g growout with more than enough caves to accomodate the two for now...

L75's are my favorite. Not overly large and or aggro and as adults are stunning..........

Wow L75's sound like they like my featherfin lol. Do you know if the L25's would be a similar match?

I would suggest a LDA07 or a L191 they both get large like the juruense and have really amazing colours and patterns.

If you're open to a non-pleco alternative I think kissing gourami's are awesome. THey're constantly tank cleaning and don't just sit on the tank floor.

I hear they can be a bit ornery if kept with other aggressive fish... but in a community tank they never bother smaller fish. They're like vigilantes i guess...only giving aggressive fish grief.

Kissing gouramis are fantastic fish! Really any gourami except dwarf IMO. Too many problems arise with them for me. But pleco wise I would say vampire, as it's one of my favorites and fairly easy to keep!

Does a "true" vampire pleco have the black body and small white spots? Or am I looking at the wrong fish?

Sounds like you are indeed looking at a Vampire Pleco! Occasionally the spots can be sort of a light yellow but the ones I kept were black with white spots
