Ok here it goes I've tried a few things to eliminate or reduce algae growth. This is my first planted tank. I've had this tank for about 6 months now. I have been very lucky and have been blessed with good plant growth and no fish loss ( knock on wood ). Anyways, here is the problem. I have very bad algae growth. Meaning algae is blooming and thriving in my tank. How can I reduce or prevent algae growth? ( yes everyone has asked this before ) Also, I don't have a clue about dosing nutrients and ect, what to use and how much?. I need help someone please help, it was very hard for me to admit this but yes I need help.
More Info is available I'm just not sure what is needed.
My tank facts:
Tank size - 29gal
Lighting- (one strip) 65w X 10,000k
CO2- Red Sea CO2 Kit @ 2 bubbles per second using a drop checker
The Photo period on the light for the tank is about 12 hours a day. From 9am to 9pm too much?
your time is very much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
