I would like to get a pump (for current not a sump) for my planted tank. How many GPH would yall recommend and what brand? I would like to get some good current in the tank to.

The tank is a 6 foot 125.

The stock is:
18 roseline sharks
9 brilliant razboras
9 diamond tetras
10 (will add more) neon tetras
15 emerald cory cats
5 kulli loaches
2 (soon to be more) clown loaches
2 Royal plecos
10 black neon tetras
2 flying sharks (will be removed soon)

I guess brand wise, Korilla i think it is seems to get mentioned a lot...

As for flow rate, depends on how strong a current you want and what your fish would prefer,

+1

I use a korillia evo 1400 in my 125 and it's nice, low power consumption and great reliability!

Koralia is a great pump for the money. That 1400 cranks with flow though, which is mildly concerning with your neons and black tetras. I would rather see two smaller pumps, one on either end of the tank.

And just throwing this out there, but don't Royal plecos eat plants?

^ Agree with Cjack, it might be a good idea to use two smaller circulation pumps rather than one large one, as smaller fish may struggle to swim against the current for long periods of time, potentially stressing them out?

good thinking with the 2 smaller pump (I think the big peace of drift wood will work as a good break but still a good thing to think over, thank you) and for the pleco I don't think they do. Have had no issue (knock on wood) maybe is because they are smaller. Then I gain I get a fish that act weird (a black ghost knife that wouldn't eat guppies but would eat cucumber)

I totally agree with Homer about stressing out the little fish, if not they might just get blown around the tank and sucked onto to screen.

Thanks Nate, I wasn't sure if I had heard somewhere they eat leaves, or was confused with a different pleco. And thats a crazy little black ghost you had...eating cucumber, silly knife fish you're not a herbivore
