hey, cut a short story short my midas has a lump i made a rash decision and dosed my 6x2x2 with a full 100ml and turned the water black after reading the side and how much it treats (110 gal) now im thinking i may have overdone it???:WHOA:

done a 10% water change straight after to clear it a bit that was an hour ago, will a dose like this be harmful and should i do a bigger water change now? or let it run its course 10% per day till its clear?

on the plus side my big midas 'carlsberg's' (prob the best fish in the world lol) lump seems to have burst and the swelling has gone down... suspect its a parasite but he ho

advise please fish gurus???:nilly:

You have a 180? It treats 110
You'll be fine if I'm reading everything correctly

Where is the hump?

under his eye, it came up about 3 days ago, white and about the size of half a garden pea but a little pointier. he is about a foot and was rubbing his eye, thought id rather catch it sooner! it seems to have some stringy stuff hanging out of it now!

thats his colouring on his head not hih, clearly see it poking out on the left!View attachment 682744

well ive been reading and it says all over the web not to go darker than a medium blue and i can barely see the back of the tank with the light on!!!! is this normal? (also im in uk so its 150 uk gal if filled to the brim, prob more like 125!)

unfortunately i only got him last week, someone removed him from there oscar tank to the local fish store! he there a day before i camer across him looking for fish to stock my 6x2x2! 45 pounds, seems some extras came free!!!!! i jus done a 45gal water change, im sure its way too dark!!!!! so a 45 and 18 gal change in one day.... still very dark! look!!meth 061.jpg
i understand why people bath rather than terat the tank now, still ive thrown my net in an nuked everthing so if the fish are all good fingers crossed) happy days jus have to sit back an water change all week:popcorn:

He will be fine. No more water change needed.

thanks smitty, you used it before?

right come on people, the methylene blue is going done another 15% waterchange today as per instruction less of a worry now... the midas' lump burst and it now has what looks like a maggot hanging out of it.... it may be just some disscharge of the lump, its hanging out about 6/7 mm about 3mm wide and maggot shaped, it doesnt look like an anchor worm, cotton wool, or cauliflour and i cant find anything on the whole web about this prob!!!! anyone have any idea what this is?

fingers crossed it falls of and dissappears!!!
