need ray advice

sorry for being noob at this i wanna comm a motoro ray with my arowana.. i have some question hope the pro ray keeper out there can help me

i gonna keep a motoro pup so my budget will be less than 100 bucks quality no need to be so good because i want this ray to scoop the arowana leftovers

will ph 7.1 do good for the motoro pup??
can it stay in 4/2/2 tank permernantly?? not changing it anymore
is it "easy" to keep??
can it be comm with a pleco soon hock too??if cant i can foc the pleco away
will cannister and OHF filter do fine as filteration system??

thx for the advice out there bro hope u guys will help me out ^^ cheers

For your tank Motoro would only be a grow out tank (try scobina or histrix).
As for pleco, I hear yes and no. I do hear success with adding alge waffles so he don;t suck on the Ray (I'm trying this now).

I have heard the many stories of plecos sucking the slime off the rays, but I have a common pleco w/ 5 rays and never had an issue
 
Wow i have tried like five plecos and lik with in five min of being in the tank they are sucking the ray so just watch the pleco and a ray cant just be a scavenger for the arowana they are big eaters

Yeah, I think it is just based on the charater of the Sucker-Fish
 
For sucker i have found both cases. Good and bad. If you got any question. Come to this home MFK and you will get lots of people . Who will be willing to share their experience for u . I am new here and get lots of info. for keeping my ray the way he suppose to be. Good luck

gonna disagree with you here miles 4x2x2 6x2x2 and 8x2x2 are basically the same 8x3x2 would be more on the correct side ;)
