OKay everyone. I want to sell the follwing items. I am probably moving to an apt where I cannot keep any fish tanks :(, or atleast anything remotley monster. I also want to downsize what I have. So here goes. I would like any advice on how to sell, pricing (i have my own thoughts) ie; just everything together or seperate. Heres what I have:

2 All Glass 75 gallon 48"x18x20 tanks.
1 Perfecto 56 tall
1 Oak 75 gallon stand with shelves and cabinets
1 Metal Glass and burlwood stand for the 56
1 Rena Filstar XP1
1 Rena Filstar XP3
1 Fluval 304
5 250 watt heaters
3 Glass lids for all 3 tanks
3 Coralife Dual Day actinic/True color t5 flourescent lights (one for each tank)
1 Perfecto 24" Light canopy (for the 56)

About 100 lbs of african lace rock

3 discus ( 1 blue coblt 4" , 1 golden 2.5", and one red pigeonblood 4")

7 or 8 tanganykan africans, 4 malawis and 5 peacocks

1 jack dempsey, 1 firemouth, 1 turquoise sevrum, 1 gold devrum, 1 pike cichlid, 1 blue acara, 3 fancy plecos, amd 1 eartheater

I also have a 10" silver arro but i think i am giving him to a friend.

I will post pictures of all of the above setups when I get a minute. This is more of a feeler thread and I want everyones input. Any offers or suggestions are also appreciated!

Thanks so much

If you're within a reasonable drive from Totowa, NJ 07512, I'll take at least one 75g tank and stand + lids.

Pricing really depends on how fast you want it to sell. If you have alot of time, you could certainly use a fair market value, i.e., how much you paid for them and add time and food, etc. as for supplies, it is good to sell them in a package so that you could get them sold faster, then again, if you have time, you could sell them separately also. Supplies are a little different than live fish in that, they "depreciate" in time. Glass tank is usually sold $1.00 per gallon, unless it is fairly new, you could add a little bit more, but again, it depends on how fast you want it sold. Many times, you would not be able to get the price you paid for them. Put a price, and add "Or Best Offer, OBO". be ready to have people ask for low bargain prices, and that is up to you to sell them. People are always looking for bargain basement prices. No need to hate :) Good luck on the sale.

I agree, you could post a price for different "packages" or "deals" and have a price for each one if you were to sell them individually. some people on here will tell u how much they will pay for, but honestly u could always sell for more. also posting at alot of different places so you could get more people looking at it helps. pics help too. you could post here, WW, pirahna-fury, recycler, etc etc. watever works.

My opinion is no matter what your price is... not being over outrageous.. The best tool if you have nice stuff is PICTURES.. NO MATTER WHAT Pictures generate calls and leads 10 to 1 over no pictures :)

Oh and tanks that are full also score points. as even with scratches you can tell them here are the scratches and they see how well water in the tank covers them :)
