I have a tank with sunfish and need something to keep the bottom clean because once the food sinks they don't touch it. they are going into a 20 gallon long lank and i was looking for a pleco that stays at a small size and can toloreate 70-75degrees. Anyone know of the right pleco?

how often do you cleen your tank?
plecos dont cleen tanks people cleen tanks

otto or dwarf bristlenose

One, people clean tanks not other fish.

Two, what type of sunfish do you have?

Sunfish is a pretty generic term that includes many species of fish. They can range from 3" max size to 12+" max size. A 20 gallon long tank may not be a suitable longterm tank.

You also didn't mention whether this was a growout or permanent tank.

Three, most sunfish species can get rather aggressive with other tankmates. Which makes adding aonther target risky.

A 20 gallon tank is just a growout tank for those species. You'd want some of the dwarf species for a permanent option.

I've caught both of those species anywhere from 3" to 10" over the years. A big blue won't be happy in a tiny tank like that.

Also, they are some of the more aggressive species. The rule of thumb with sunfish is, the larger they get, the meaner they are. Even as juveniles. To house more than one, you need enough space to house six or more, or they will kill each other off. I've seen it happen.

I have 2 of the chaetostoma thomasii. They're a really cool gray color & they stay small (5 inches). Very shy & not a great glass cleaner, but they keep my black sand spotless. They like soft water & lots of current around 75 degrees.
