I have 3 adult size Silver Dollars and two of them are acting very weird they are following each other very closely and just now they were side by side touching each other and shaking there fins together on each other, the also has 2 big black spots behind its gills. Is this a sign of breeding or are they just being weird?

Any advice would be great because if it is a sign of breeding i'd like to know asap so i can move them to a seperate tank.

Sounds like breeding behavior. But if you move them they will stop for a while. i would guess they would start back up in a few months in a new tank.

I would just keep a eye on them and be ready to move the fry when the time comes. Or possibly the eggs if the start to eat them.

Ok cool thank you very much i will keep them in the current tank and keep an eye on them and if push comes i will move the other fish to a different tank. Thanks again for the advice.
