I got some 1" redear fry from a buddy of mine and as of now they will only eat bloodworms . I would love to taper them onto pellets or flakes but have no idea how to. How do you fellas do it ? Got any tips or tricks ? Thanks for your help in advance :)

Stop feeding them for about 4+ days. Then introduce them to Hikari Carnivore. Carnivore appears to soften/dissolve really quick in the water and it is a bit pungent, so I think wild species love those factors. It may take more than 4 days, so be strong and don't give in. This is how I did it with my bluegill last year. However, my bluegill will only take Carnivore and rejects other pellets which is fine with me. GL

Thanks xraycer I really appreciate the help ,gotta love sunfish you never know what you're gunna get when you grow um out. Thanks again bud poor little fellas are gunna lose a few on their diet lol

Your redear will thank you for the switch to pellets because bloodworm are nutritionally poor.

Yea it's the only thing they will eat lol live brine shrimp are impossible to find where I live , I agree pellets are the most nutrition packed food you can get as long as it's of a high quality like hikiari

I got my greens to eat pellets by soaking them in tuna oil (the oil left in the tuna can you usually drain out and throw away).
