Alright so lately with my jag in my 100g ive been noticing that everytime i feed him cichlid sticks there are little pieces of the food that fall and sit around on the bottom of the tank.

Are there any catfish/bottomfeeders i could keep with him that would eat the leftovers on the bottom of the tank?

What size Jag?

Yeah. Plenty of medium-sized catfish would do. Of course they won't live off of the scraps, you'll have to feed them, too. For a 100, I'd get a trio of pictus if you like movement. It depends on your final stocking levels. If it's just the Jag, you could do the pictus for the time being.

He'll eventually outgrow the tank anyway, so a smaller scavenger is probably preferable. If you plan on keeping the Jag in there forever, I'd stock lightly and add a bristle-nose pleco. They are active and stay pretty small. They also come in crazy morphs.

He's young enough to tolerate the addition of new tankmates, I hope.

I have had good luck with common plecos, and Raphael cats.

thanks guys =). how big to Pictus Cats and Raphael Cats get? I'm a little Iffy about pleco's cuz i've had some before and when they reach a certain size they start to leave a lot of "waste" behind.

I have an asian upside down black catfish (10") with my jag (10") and a Black Shark (12"), and they seem to clean up his messes, and they also seem to enjoy some algae tabs too. But they are both pretty tough, and don't take any crap off the other cichlids.

Spotted raphaels get 5-6", striped raphaels get about 8".

Raphaels are good night crew cleaners, but don't expect to see him much.

you could get a green terror (but the jag may destroy it) I noticed they sift through the sand eating scraps.
