I received a 5" female Mayan last week in a shipment and she was scrapped up pretty good. My question is should I use some Melafix to help her heal or should I let her heal on her own? She"s in a tank with several other very nice Cichlids and I don't want to risk losing them with meds. So what do you guys think? Any advice will be appreciated.

I would just do 25% water changes every other day and add a lil aquarium salt as per directed on the box. She will heal on her own. Clean water normally does the trick. And i think malefix is more like an herb and not harmful like meds. I have used it before and it works good.
Don't waste any money on meds, Just keep the fish unstressed and stay on top of water conditions and it will heal up quick.
