Need some advice

So I will be going for studies leaving my fish behind.. I can visit only on weekends so leaving my fish unobserved for 5 days everytime.
However my family is there but they have no clue how to keep fish.
I can waterchange once per week
Tank
6x2.5x2
Filtration 2 canisters and a sponge filter
Fish are
Tigrinus
Pbass
Frontosa
I know tigs are sensitive so leaving him alone is a problem
What do you guys think should I give the tig away?

You should be fine, portion of the food for Tuesday and Thursday and the family can't go wrong. Get em to check temperature and flow daily.

In my experience, tigs are not sensitive but rather robust fish, health-wise. They withstand afflictions and perturbations fine.

I'd think you can at least give it an earnest try. Maybe you'll find someone in your family is too ready to fall in love with fish keeping.

Although I would definitely not recommend leaving fish without food for a good while, I believe they'll be fine. They can go for a surprising bit without food and still be healthy. Sit down with you're family and give them a little husbandry lesson, Nothing much, just basics.

When I go away I use one of those daily pill holders that old people use to remember their medicine.
Put enough food per day in each daily section and give strict advice that they are only to feed what is in the sections n and nothing more. Never had an issue doing this, it makes it so easy for the person doing the feeding, on Tuesday open the tuesday compartment , drop In the food and the jobs done.
