Need some advise on filtration & cleanning please!

Hi guys.

1)I will like some advise over filtration systems. will it be better for me to use a overflow or a canister one? i have an 80GL tank.

2)And also what kind of filter media will i need to get for crystal clear water?

3)And also what pump size will i need?

4)Do you guys advise me to use those magnet glass cleaner? Will it leave scratches on the glass?

That is a decent size tank, I would prefer both a canister and a sump, but that is just me. The sump for bio filtration and the canister for mechanical and to help you out with the crystal clear water you are after.

I have used the magnet cleaners with fairly good luck, as long as you do not get any sand or gravel stuck behind it you should not have any problem with scratches.

Definitely keep the magnets clean it will scratch your glass in acrylic

So its ok for me to use the magnet cleanner but be carefull about sand and stuff?

How about pump size?

Ill take your advise CharlieTuna about using both filters since i have both at home.
