As you canbsee in the picture, my tank has a repair inside that is a big eye sore.

It's 17" long and 12" tall.

Thinking how to cover it. Deciding not to do a 3D background on this tank so that's put of the picture.

I am having troubles finding a piece of wood that will cover it.

I'm timid on stacking rocks in that corner as I don't want to add any extra pressure near the repaired crack.

Only thing I can think of is maybe stacking 4-5 flower pots in some sort of way to cover it.

Looking for some inexpensive creativity. Any suggestions?

you could maybe take some of that fish tank back ground that goes on the out side of the tank and plaster a back ground in your tank, but stick it to the inside then it will cover that area plus give you a nice back ground. just an idea

Like silicone it? That might be an idea.

im not an expert by any means wen it comes to adhesives in the tank, i know there are silicone safe products sold at lfs for aquarium use, but yah maybe just a few dabs of that would keep it against the glass and cover that patch, you would just want to be meticulous about cutting it to size or els it might be noticable that its mounted inside. hope this helps

Can Ramel cut a piece of black acylic that will cover the whole side? Thickness would not matter. We could probably have HD cut actual plexi. It would cost you a 1/2" loss in width but never again be noticable and be smooth like a standard wall would be. The background panels mentioned above would reflect light odd due to the additional panel/angles. That is a really good idea expkeeper19!

some people attach cork tiles to the back of tanks, afix plants such as anubus or java fern, that set roots into the cork and in time cover the entire back of the tank with a wall of green foliage.

I have a bunch of cured mopani that I just might stack up in that corner. But that just seems to easy. ;-P

How would we attach cork to the acrylic?

I would do a partial diy background, like a rock structure sloping down or some tree roots

Either that or just a nice piece of driftwood and some tall plants
