There seems to be so much information out there. I had a 240 acrylic that i have since got rid of. The fish are currenrly living in a kiddie pool. I'm nearing the compleation of my plywood/glass tank. I have doube 3/4 plywood on the bottom, back and one side. The front and other side are for viewing. The front consists of three sections of glass. Once i screw the first board down do i screw the sanded plywood to it or do something else. I plan on using the Ames elasto barrier. Once i figure out the wood i was going to caulk the joints and install the glass befor i use the Ames product. Is that correct. I could really use a step by step.

Ames Elasto Barrier is not a cost efficient option compared to other products out there. It has worked in the past, however their most recent reply to me stated that it was not to be used fully submerged. If you are building a larger size aquarium, I would look into other locally available options or into some of the other submersible elastomeric products listed on the Roof thread.

I suggest sealing the tank before you install the glass. You will need a waterproof barrier to silicaon/seal the glass to or you will be testing you luck with leaks.
