My jardini arrowana has started to hide behind a piece of bogwood whilst the light is on!! The tank had 2 bulbs roughly 12 inches one blue marine bul and one red day light bulb!! I have taken out the blue bulb as it was the brightest but as soon as I put the light back on he hid straight away!! Is there anything I can do other than keeping the bulb out??

the jardini will get use to it ... just need to give it some time. Some people are using tanning lights for their arowanas. Those are even brighter.

your aro doesn't seem to like the light on, and neither does mine. i don't remember when i had the light on the last time. but i remember that even at 15"+, my jar would go sit at the bottom corner if i switched the tank light on. what seems ironic is that the tank is right in the middle of the hallway which gets a lot of traffic from two kids running by all day, they even tap on the tank walls from time to time, and the jar is fine with that but not the light:screwy:

so i would recommend keeping the light off for now and try turn it on when the aro is bigger...

i have a 4 aro comm tank and if i leave the lights on too long they start to fight, if i limit it to about 5-8 hours a day they dont. Moral for me is dont bake them too long haha
