New tank has been running for awhile had kept other fish fine. I moved my old stock to my 125. I bought 2 gold sevrums 2 green and 2 pink jeally beans for the gf and 2 flowerhorns All are about half a inch. All fish was fine for 3 weeks. Water is perfect everything checks good. Now 4 days ago white dots and white dots on there body. Im using this quick cure stuff and salt. I can not seem to get rid of it. Ive done the 3 daily treatments. Do I just keep doing it until they clear up? Should I add some melafix? to the tank. Ive never had a sick fish in over 8 years. help me out please

Sounds like Ich

yes ive been treating and water changing for a 5 days now. I seen this melafix stuff about helping but im affraid to mix. I tryed the ward ich med first. Then after it didnt seem to help I switch to the quICK cure Ive done the 3 daily doses so far. Whats the next step just keep doing as the directions say?

Yes all carbon is removed. I did the last dose about a hour ago. Hoping all goes fine. Should I add some melafix to the water for added help?

you dont need melafix to rid ich. Bump the temp and add salt. That alone should have worked, meds if needed. I have had ich clear up w or w/out meds. Temp seems to be the most important.

To rid ick i suggest 84 - 84 & salt and i have been able to rid ick the two times i have had a fish come down with it. I wouldnt suggest mixing meds - I made that mistake about 3 months ago and killed a sick 5-1/2" clown loach....

okay ill see if I can get another heater anyone know how many times to treat with the quick cure. Ive done the 3 daily treatments done the water change today 25% and have treated twice today so far. Gonna do one more before bed. Should I let it sit a few days then change agian?

Well today bad news got raised the tank slowly from last night to this moring to 85. One of the green sevrums has passed. idk if i should lower the hear or what I need to get rid of the ick
