My one IT has something wrong with him....I have never dealt with any illnesses other then Ick once. My guess would be fin rot but is fin rot usually accompanied by some other underlying issue? His tail is gone down to the base. He had been "flashing" I think you guys call it. (rubbing up against things) I do not see any ick. Everyone else seems fine. Is there a broad spectrum treatment I could use on him? Also, should I move him to a hospital tank or is it better to treat the whole tank since they all have been exposed? If treating the whole tank I need meds safe for loaches. Please help, this is my Buddy!!! Yes, he is the only named fish I have.

Forgot to add my water is ALWAYS great. Ammonia, nitrite 0 and nitrates are always kept under 10.

I would start treating with salt and raising the temp to 85-86*f, that is the best I can do because I have never dealt with any illness before...

I would say maybe treat it the same way as HITH but I am not sure...

good luck and I hope someone with personal experience can help you...

Deff use a hospital tank. The longer you keep him in there the more of a chance it has to infect the other fish with whatever it may have.

I moved him earlier today to a hospital tank and am treating with Maracyn TC which is Tetracycline. Hopefully this will work. He is not eating at the moment but is out and about so he is not just laying around.

Well, I don't think he's going to make it. He is laying at the bottom of the tank. This will be the first loss I have had and of course it has to be my favorite one.

Well, he is still alive and seems a little more lively today. Hopefully it's a good sign now that I feel there is some hope. I hope I am not disapointed. He still hasn't eaten but gets excited when he sees me like he used to. I will keep my fingers crossed as I realize even if he lives he has a long road to recovery.
