ok my 75 gal growout tank with my cichla in it. one my other grow out fish kicked his arse. i added half cup aquairum salt. was this to much?

Nope, 1/2cup salt in 75 gallons is about 0.1 tablespoons per gallon. You can add another 1/2cup to help reduce stress, or add another 4 cups if you are concerned about infection. Remember to dissolve the salt in a small amount of water prior to adding it to the tank.
4 Cups?!! That's .3% (healing percentage) for a 400 gallon tank.
1 cup is plenty for a 75 gallon tank.
I use salt for QTd koi when they have infection or ulcers. .3-.5% is all you need to get the job done.

it died last night. so disgusted. payed more for that fish then any other fish i ever had. very disapointed
