Need some help i would like to make a sump

Ok i know its not much but i have a 10 gallon sitting around and i wanna make a sump out of it for my 150 dont worry i already have a fx5 and a ac110 and a ehiem pro III filter on it. I am pretty clear on the whole set up of the sump itself the problem i am having is the plumbing i know i am gonna need a pump but how big should i got also i am very confused about making an overflow because there is only like 3 inches of clearence in the back of my tank so basically i cant get an over flow box how can i make the diy pvc over flow and how does it work what kind of pvc wil i need measurement wise? also does anyone have detailed photos of the diy overflow on their tank currently i would just like to look how it fits etc. thanks oscarboyz
