Ok so heres what I have going on .. I have 3 adult bearded dragons two males one female .. I always keep the males seperated ... anyway
I built a 4 foot by 8 foot encloser for them in my basement.. the female and one male stay in that while i keep the other male in a 50 gallon breader tank ..

So now on to what i need help with .. i have the 4x8 setup with a 50/50 split .. one side (the hot zone) has a a sand like floor(the ground up bone kind) and many basking areas ...

on the other side is the cool zone . witch I have about 4 to 5 inches of a black dirt potting soil mix....

so what I want to do is set up a way to water the cool side .. I have a water source very close to the cage .. I would like something like you see in the fresh vegie isle at the supper market .. 2 3 to 5 sprinklers/misters

I have been serching the net for suplys cause my local hardware store is useless .. 99% of what i have been finding is eaither large lawn style or over head fire style.. i just want small and ez to aim.

My goal is to plant grass and other plants on that side of the tank.. some spinich and stuff ..

any thoughts ..??

the idea sounds really cool.

the only thing i wiould worry about would be humidity levels getting too high from growing out your veggie patch.

but if you were going to do the plants grow them in pots and bury the pots. it makes it easier to rotate plants out that way.

beardies tend to be rough on live plants just because of their size.

My beardie just wishes he had that much room! I would imagine you are trying to allow the beardies to free feed off stuff you plant, but I think they would probably dig it up and kill it before it grows very much. I think putting the plants in a pot and growing them out outside the enclosure and then rotating them would work really well. As for the water question, try searching for automatic mister plans- that should work for what you are trying to do.

well most of it will be grass .. they love to run around the yard when the weather is right ... I understand the diging and trampeling issue thats why i would like to transplate some biger plants in latter .. i had some kale growing very well in there but got a diff job witch switched my routine and they died because of the lack of care..

and yes all my animals are pretty much spoiled..

some of my other setups threw out the house..
