Need some help ID'ing this Mean looking dude...

Looks like a colder water game species, just not sure what exactly. Is this some kind of bluegill or bass? Got a mean look though...

Thanks for replying... I know nothing of native fish, But.... He kinda does look like a green sunfish, but he's pretty elongated. I was just reading that the sunfish can hybridize as well. Do you know if one of the various sunfish can have offspring with either small mouth or large mouth bass? Just wondering cause this guy seems to have a huge mouth. Thanks again.

He's a pure green sunfish. And no the sunfish cannot hybridizes with black basses naturally.

Green sunfish but looks discolored a bit, or maybe old age not sure.

Old green sunfish, I'd say. Pretty much a mean, coldwater oscar. Great "wet pet" fish, not so great for communities unless everything in said community can kick tail.
