So, I went away to a Drag Racing event this past weekend..I knew my fish could handle 2 days without eating.
However, my mother took it upon herself to go over to my place and feed my fish. Luckily, she only really "knew" how to feed my tank in the basement and left my other tanks alone ..weird huh?
Anyways...cut the long story short, she never mentioned she fed them until I gave her a call sunday night asking her what the HECK lol...she's like"OOO.. I must've over fed him...he didn't eat everything"...Over fed is an understatement.
Went down to the basement tank with the IT dat and I know he LOVES his tilapia and shrimp..so, she must've fed him THE ENTIRE FILLET! ..
There were chunks of it all over the sand bottom and the IT dat has a huge lump on his forehead and his lips look a tad swollen...
My questions are;
is this related to a spike in crappy water quality as he would've gone 48 hours with rotting fish fillet's in the water essentially?
I'll post pictures when I run home at lunch..any help would be appreciated.
He's in a 150 by himself with an fx5 and a xp3 for filtration.
I've done a 50% water change on sunday and am going to be attacking it again tonight..he looked a little better yesterday..
Also, he was still very active and moving around
