need some help on how to do this

ok so i got a freshwater morey eel...sold as fresh realy brackish to full marin ...i knew this going into it.so cycled the tank freash and have had the eel in there for close to a week ...i think im ready to start adding the salt (instant ocean)....than i got to thinking how do i actuly do this...im guessing when i do a water change i add salt to the new water but do i add only enouph salt for the new water or the whole tank? i understand i should ony bring it up .002 a week ....i guess i didnt think this all the way threw if some one could explain this prosses for me it would be a huge help...as iv alredy had some cycling issues i wouold like to get this right befor i loos this eel

Raise the salinity slowly, however your problem stems from adding the eel before the tank was cycled
