My 75gl tank with the 10" jag and the 8" plecos seems very alone these days....i was just wondering what kind of tank mate i should get? I'm almost tempted to get rid of the jag and make the 75gl into a large cichlid tank. Any ideas?

Sell the Jag and Get some Geophagus or Uaru. There not small but they arent aggressive and the Geos are substrate cleaners and thats always good.

i would not get rid of the jag is it a m/f..and if you do get rid of the jag...make the tank a s.a community tank with an arrowana and some geos just like prm said that would be sweet with driftwood

I agree with the last post, leave the jag in there alone. A 75 gallon is a small tank and when your jag gets full grown that tank will seem tiny. Also as your jag gets larger keep a close look on your pleco because most aggressive cichlids once they hit adulthood will not tolerate pleco's even if they are large.

He sort of [icks on the pleco but the pleco just smacks in the face with his tail. He's all spikey and doesn't really seem to have a problem with the jag. I don't know what to do with him he was my first fish!

KEEP THE JAG.
Buy another jag
I think you would be fine having 2 jags in a 75.
