so I’ve had this bass for close to 7 years about a month ago it started to lose some color and darken up. It also doesn’t swim around much just kinda hovers in the one side of tank. When I feed it will come and eat no more than one massivore pellet. Not sure what could be wrong shoes no signs of anything I’ve never seen anything like this before almost looks like it’s old and dying. Can anyone help? Parameters are spot on he’s in a 400 gallon with other bass and rays and they are all fine.

It definitely looks like it may be suffering some kind of internal bacterial infection .A good move at this point might be to place it in a hospital tank and treat it with some aquarium salt or some medication for such infections.

Wow...really small for 7 years old. The appearance tells me the water is not agreeing with him. What is the pH?.

Any suggestion on medication?

Prazi Pro and force feed him. that is a small bass for being seven years old. Also, if that bass is a F1, F2, F3 and so forth, they will have a shorter life span. If that boy is wild, then QT him ASAP.
