hey, I got a 20 gallon, and i want it to be some kinda real emvnironment like in the wild, for example a mangrove tank half water half sand with mangrove on the land....got any ideas? another example would be like a central america.....thanks,chris

Crayfish are really cool, I really like the blue ones.

A 20g is a little small, 24 or 30 inches long depending on style. If you are thinking about mudskippers try the Indian mudskippers, they only get about 4" long. Frank's Aquarium had some pretty cheap but I think they are out of stock right now. If you add a few rock shelves some emergent driftwood, and maybe some pickle weed, with only a few inches of lightly brackish water you could probably keep about 4 of them and maybe a purple spaghetti eel.

I think the mangrove idea is pissa. That's something I've wanted to do with a long tank. mangroves with archers and scats would look great... but seeing as you have a 20 gal. tank, I'd go with small schooling fish and the fiddlers.

I have 20 gallon setup with a mudskipper in at the moment, only just set it up.
Have been thinking about adding a mangrove to it, i have heard that they are actually quite easy to grow. As for the mudskipper what a truly awesome little fish he really does have a lot of character and tames down pretty quick, just dont make the water to deep for him you only need to put in enough for him to cover himself.
