As for your question, it's not the best looking but one flower pot should do for her. Just prop it with the open end facing an aquarium wall and knock a hole in the bottom/front now of the pot that's only big enough to let the female in but not the male. This way he can't get at her, plus this has the added benefit of you being able to increase the size of the opening as the female grows. Also unfortunately in the size tank they'll be kept in more than likely he'll pick on her relentlessly as he grows and his presumed territory grows so basically theres a good chance he might suceed one day. That's my opinion anyway, I could be wrong.
