Hi This will be my first tank so im hoping for a bit of help,

I know a little about running a tropical tank and dont particuarily want the normal boring fish... mollys tecra ect.

So im going to get pirahnas im currently looking at this tank,

Ive read you need good filteration so would the filter with that be good enough??

Also do you think getting 4 would be too many?

It could be used as a grow-out tank (I wouldn't personally advise it), but it won't be enough to house 4 piranhas for their lifetime. As far as filtration, you can always do with more (no matter what type of species you decide to house), a pair of HOBs and Canister is a nice combination.

Personally, I would go with some Cichlids, either some Convicts or go with their hardwater counterparts, African Cichlids (labidochromis, pseudotropheus, etc.).

No such thing as a normal boring fish.

I would advise getting another 305 at least
