Hi Everyone! Right now I have a 12in TSN, 7in Domino Syno and a 10in Giant Gourami in my 130gal. Since the TSN and the Syno don't do much I've been debating on getting another swimmer. I'm hesitant to get another fish for this tank because they all have their spots and they seem a little territorial. My TSN is my pride and joy and is also very skittish so he is the one that I'm worried about. He already has a bump on his nose from freaking out when the GG got too close. The other two probably would welcome an additional tank mate. As it is right now the TSN is in one corner, the GG claimed the other and the Syno is in a cave in the middle. This doesn't leave much room for any new comers. Can anyone think of another fish that wouldn't upset the balance and could live in this size tank for life? I already have to upgrade for the TSN and the GG eventually so if there is something that wouldn't live in this tank forever I'll still consiter it.

No suggestions at all? Come on guys! Help me out! :1zhelp:

To be honest you may have problems, it needs to be big enough for the shovelnose not to try and eat it but also not big enough for it to be a possible target for the gourami as ive kept a few different giants and do now and have sene the damage that they can do. Instead of maybe a single fish why not look for a few schooling fish parhaps? Ive mixed flagtail prochilodus rather well with giant gouramis there a nice fish.

Yes flagtails would be a nice addition. Plus they would be o.k. in a 130 for life. I kept one for a few years in a 50 and he finally outgrew it but one of my favorite fish. By the way only keep one as they are monsters to their own kind.

Thanks Bogwoodbruce and Allan01230! This is my first big tank so my knowledge of fish compatability is rather limited. I had actually already been thinking about some flagtails or maybe a bala shark. What do you think about the Bala? Or if I got one that was a decent size could I just get one flag tail instead of a school?

I would rather have my fish be happy than have the most beautiful tank so if I can't find something that would fit in than that would be ok too.

Thanks. I'm aware. That is why I named him Mr. Moby Moo:ROFL: I'm very careful not to add any tank mates that would fit in his mouth. I will rearrange things and upgrade tanks to ponds accordingly. I promise I will do everything in my power to keep my fish healthy and happy.:D

Id leave out the silver shark as they are slow growers and would likely end up as food. And you can only have one flagtail as they hate eachother.
