I have a golden pike cichlid and a tiger pike cichlid the golden is about 5 1/2 inches and the tiger is about 3 inches. not here is the problem i want the tiger to be in my large tank with the rest of my monsters but the golden pike will ruthlessly attack him every time I try to introduce him. I know they are aggressive and territorial but does anyone know of a way to make the golden pike back off and accepted the tiger pike?

move the decor around and break up territories could work but pikes are really con specific aggresive it may never work. you could also try a divider for a period of time. good luck

A cichlid is a cichlid is a cichlid.. Pikes are no exception.. though my female dwarf pike killed the male, and beat the snot out of my Venny's ( aka golden pikes) haven't had a tiger.. but my Venny's are pretty mellow dudes... If rearrangeing the decor doesn't work.. I would suggest swapping the 2 fish out.. then trying to re-intro the larger pike once the smaller guy has established himself. A divider might also work.
