I have a 55 gallon tank i need some help with, im going to completely redo it, i currently have the tank alone, i need to know what type of lights, filtration, heaters, and other things i need to get. Also what type of fish would be good in it. Please give me some input its been a while

its a blank slate. we cant tell you what to put in there. thats all up to you. what you can do though is come up with a list of things you want, and then check with us to see if its ok. but its your tank, so why have us pick it all for you?

its like letting your mom dress you with whatever she thinks youd look good in. in her opinion its nice, but it may suck to you

^^^ Ditto that. Also, the type of filtration, etc you buy will be dependent upon what you want to stick in the tank..

yep.

so bud the first thing you need to do is do some looking around at lfs and on the internet to find fish that you like, then post the list of fish youve found on here and thats where we will begin to get you set up.
just dont fall in love with any fish in particular because not everything you want will always work.
if i had every fish i wanted, id need something the size of seaworld to keep it all in lol

if you need a place to look for fish online to either buy or get an idea of what to buy, look on petsolutions.com . they have a wide varitey of fish , both common and some exotics. and ive found their service to be pretty good in the past

Yep, try and spend at least 10 to 20 hours on this site before you decide anything. You'll be glad you did. You'll be much more informed, but maybe just as undecided!

Well, the light/filtration/heater are pretty standard (unless you want plants, then you need better lighting). Decide on the type of fish before you decorate.
