So i got my girlfriend hooked on fish now (go me :D) anyways, she got this real nice 40g tank setup for free!! She likes colorful fish and I was hoping you guys could give me some ideas on how to stock this thing. i was thinking a couple of blue rams, and angelfish, and some cardinal tetras and a few cory's. Whats your guys thoughts and ideas. Thanks
 
+1 to bolivian rams instead of germans.

But, I am a puffer fan, and I'm a girl, and I just find them adorable. Why not consider some f8s light brackish water, or some of the freshwater small puffers.

OOOH yeah, amazonian puffers would be fun for this. And fairly community friendly.
 
Discus are too expensive for her lol she doesn't like to spend the money on them. It was going to be planted but she decided against it nd put random decorations in there that she liked. I'll probably see about the Bolivian rams instead
