i am planning on buying a tig for my tank with cichla. are they compatible how big do they get? how fast? are they like RTC's in the way which that they eat anything like tank mates? let me know what i need to know bout these guys. thanks!

I have a 15" Tig I got from Rich as just a little guy. He grew about an inch per month and is still growing but more slowly now. I don't know their average full size tbh but I've heard they get about 20-24". Mine is kind of mean....or should I say extremely territorial. He fights off other fish who swim into his area by wildly thrashing and flinging his body around or biting them.
