I'll be moving in the next couple of weeks, my current situation has my tanks on a concrete slab. Fortunately or unfortunately my new place has a basement. what is the largest tank you could place on the main floor w/o bracing the floor from underneath???

I currently have a 150 and 180, with plans for a 265 soon:popcorn:

Any engineers or engineering students on MFK???

I had a 180 on the second floor in my apartment . It was on a load bearing wall. sat there for 6 months before i moved and there was no signs of stress or sagging when i moved it . Just depends on how your house is built . Is It a finished basement?

Half of it's finished, except for the section for the furnance and w/d area.
I'm able to see the floor joists if that's what your getting at?

Carpeting on main level is fairly thick might have to have a small base built for the stand to fit on in order to keep it level....

Eaasiest and safest thing to do is get a couple floor jacks and a 6x6 and put it on the joists where your tank will sit . Reletivly cheap and will give you piece of mind
