need someone to help me out. i bought a tank its kinda scratched and im a perfectionist so need some help please some one tell me how much thanks

wheres rockford? get me a plane ticket and a bugger and some compound and ill buff for you and once im done itll be like new...
actually it will be new lol btw i eat a lot and youll pay for all my expenses right? lol jk :D haha

well since your asking for help to buff & polish a tank im gonna guess its acrylic...

if there are scratches in only certain spots then theres less work but same steps...
also it depends how deep the scratches are since you need to start off with the
proper grit size and work your way up to the finest grit... so lets say these are your
average joe light scratches from sand... heres the step.

1. go buy some wet dry sand paper from 1500 all the way to 4000, buff and polish compound - i recommend novus 1,2 & 3,
if you dont already have one a buffer with a new pad ( or borrow one but still need new pad ) & lastly a microfiber towel...

2. start sanding your tank starting with the 1500 (since it is wet dry sanding have a bucket of water to wash and keep the paper
wet...) and work your way up all the way to the 4000 grit...

3. get the buffer and start buffing the tank using the novus or what ever compound you buy...

4. then use the buffer to polish the tank with the polishing compound.

5. then at last get the microfiber towel and a small dab of the polish compound and wipe the tank clean.

6. if you dont think you can do this fly me out with a first class ticket and all expenses paid and ill do it for you free! Lol :)

and there you have it a brand new tank! :) good luck with your project /cheers.

btw how come your fh is so asian? and here i thought i had chinky eyes... lol hahaha:grinno:

well thanks for the steps i still don't really wanna try it for my first time on a tank i want as my show tank. i could prolly do it but don't wanna mess it up even worse. so anyone please help thanks again guys

where are you located anyways?

just get the micro mesh kit, i've used it many times and it's rather simple to use with great results.

ya but i don't want to do it my self im busy and don't have time to mess around and possibly mess it up
