I am getting a couple small piquiti this week and some small pinima next week (2-3", 4 fish total), but I'm not sure where the best place to put the would be. I don't want to put them in the 125 w/ the other bass as I'm afraid even the side w/ the 4"ers would put them in danger. I just got a free odd-sized tank that I can set up w/ old water and an old filter so I don't have to worry about cycling. It's basically a 45 Tall that's only 30" wide (30x12.5x23), so about 37 gallons. I'm thinking that may just be too tall at that size and make it harder for them to get food. My other thought was to move the fish out of the 40breeder and put them in the 37. Then, I would put the bass in the 40. I'm really going to have to watch the parameters either way as I would have to steal a filter from another tank. I'm leaning towards putting the in the 40. What do you guys think?

put them in the 37 and theyll be fine IMO.
that'll certainly be easier. I'll probably set it up in my room tomorrow. Gotta keep my precious babies closeby :D I should have enough sand in my 20 for it. I always have bad luck w/ crashes when I don't have substrate.

that stinks...benefit and curse of "owning" a house in my case, lol.

aside from being able to have as many tanks as I want, owning a house kinda sucks, LOL

I got the "stand" in my room and the tank cleaned up and on it, but didn't get a chance to set it up last night. I have to do it after work tonight. The fish are coming tomorrow morning :nilly:

wow tomorrow mrning and you have your azuls :headbang2!
i think the 37 would be sufficient too..

yep, I'm so ecstatic. Sounds like I won't be getting any pinima or kelberi, though since I'll be out of town next Monday through Thursday (at least) :(

I got the 37 set up. I only had a tiny bit of sand. The Penguin 350 wouldn't fit, so I had to swap it out w/ an AC70 from a different tank, so I'm using an AC70 and a Fluval 3+ in-tank, which I don't think is even seeded yet, but it'll act as a powerhead and do some mechanical at least. I hope it's enough...should be.

That sounds enough for the 37.. sucks about missing out on the pinima and kelberi.. could anyone get them for you while your away?
