what happen if we cross breed a sen and an albino sen?

You will have an albino or just regular. It mostly that you'll end up with just regular one as the gene is stronger. You probably thinking you might end up with a blotchy sene, no it's not gonna happen.

lol, I thought I might end up with a red eye sen,
When I add a female sen sometimes ago in my 200g tank, I saw one of my male sen mating with the female one several times, but it does not happen anymore since other bichirs are in the same tank. I think if I put the two in a different tank, the female one will lay the eggs. But I just don't have anymore tank in the house.
Is there a chance that I may end up with a platinum sen if I do so, or do I dream too much?

If you keep inbreeding them, you will end up with some plat but will take many generations.

cheers, I hope I'm the lucky one If did that

Albinism is a recessive trait. You'll more likely end up with a clutch of regular Senegals.

well, so far I believe most of the sens that I bought here are captive breed, I dunno with the sens elsewhere. I visit the lfs every week, and sometimes I see lots of baby sens being sold there. So it cant be imported that way since its so small and bichirs are not from here in Asia. My point is, those sens that I have must have been through locally bred for many generations. Most of the deform one I see is the albinos bichirs, but I haven't seen a regular sen with a deform body.
I am not sure if I can cross breed my sen and my albino, since the albino one seems to ignore everything but food. But I think I can breed the sens instead.

Yes you can breed albino and regular seen but you will not get a new type. As I said before you will end up having some regular or albino. If your expecting a plat sene in if you have have succesfull breed it will be lower than 1% as it will be like natural breding which it may or may not breed. Even in farms that they use hormone injection which force them to breed and in mass number too, they only have 3%-5% average chance of getting plat variant.

thanks for the info, I don't have a high expectation to get a plat even if I breed them. Its hard to get them here. Yet, somehow I feel guilty If I dont get them to breed.
