Need some plumbing help

I have two 2 inch standpipe style drains. They are connected to eachother to both drain out of one two inch pipe as seen below

Should I seperate the two to make two seperate drains or keep them together. Will it affect flow for them to be kept conjoined as shown in the pic? Advice needed.

what does it got to sump? wet dry? canister ? i would keep them connected unless you had a big sump that you want it coming from 2 sides you can awlays put bulkheads so you can control both sides

Yes a sump it will go to. And thanks, I'll keep them connected. I was just concerned that I wouldn't get equal flow

maybe there is a diffrence but i dont know or really think there is but i recommend a ball valve or 2 so you can control your flow im no expert but just my 2 cents
 
I would think 2, 2" pipes running into 1 2" would definitely slow flow. I would separate them

+1 especially if they are open channel drains, thats alot of turbulence. I'd upsize it further or just separate them

Hold up a sec....how much water flows into the 2 drain lines that are tied together? In gallons per minute?

That's without considering headhight. I have never built a sump in my life so I hardly know what I am talking about
