Need some pruning help.

I got this Anubis awhile ago and it took a liking to the drift wood and got a bit crazy. I never pruned any aquatic plants before and don't want to kill. Should I just leave it or give it a good trim.

I would just let it keep growing... But to prune anubias that have a rhizome which are the root looking things, you prune them by cutting the thick part of the rhizome where the leaves grow out of (picture below), and then you'll have another anubias in the tank...

Just remember to never bury the rhizome because it causes the plants to die...
