Well some of you might remember the thread i started a few weeks ago about the tegu hybrids i was getting. well after waiting three weeks after i made my payment and the shipping issue still not complete, i decided to get my money refunded.

with that being said i am now on the hunt for my next reptile purchase. im looking for something that gets a decent size. im not exactly sure what to get though. i have a few ideas i am thinking about. one of them being a rhino iguana:D. i have been talking to David Blair about his captive bred rhinos and other iguana hybrids. and im getting sucked right in.

im just not sure what else to consider. i want something that will tame down.. i already have a large green iguana so another one of those is out of the question.

lets hear some suggestions

Thanks
Mike D

Look no furter;) A giant indonesian sailfin dragon Hydrosaurus amboinensis or a philiphine sailfin dragon Hydrosaurus pustulatus will fit the bill

I love the rhino igs if it were me I would get them or maybe a red tegu they are really awesome.

How big,do you like monitors or no?The large rihnos I was around were very aggressive once adult males. They are awesome though. Are beadeds legal in your area?I like monitors better than iggys because they are on the move more. You already got a chill iggy, try something diferent. How big you lookin for?,,,,

im trying to keep it around 5 feet or so. and whatever i get i would like it to be able to free roam.
which is one reason i was looking at the rhino iguanas. from what i have read they tend to calm down and become pretty docile if handled and socialized when young. right now i am talking to David Blair and Tom Crutchfeild about them and i like what i hear. and another plus is with them they have the same diet as my current iguana.

As far as monitors. i dont mind them. ive always wanted one. i dont really know alot about them. they just tend to be real unpredictable from what i have read. which is not a bad thing, but my little brother (hes 13) loves my reptiles and tends to help me alot. so i would like something that he can be around as well.

Get a Sav or a locale specific Water monitor they get around 4+ft for the Sav and 5+ft for the water monitor and are pretty docile if they get handled frequently
