I want 2 pcs of driftwood, each with a plant growing around it. Any advise on types of hardy plants (pics would be nice cause I dont know plants that good) and how to get them to grow on the driftwood?

srry no pics but you can try some anubias, java fern, or java moss. All these tend to be great for growing on driftwood. In order to get them starting on the wood just tie them on with some cotton string or a rubber band. The cotton should simply rot away after a while and once the plant is established on the wood you can cut off the rubberband.

For plants, choose anubias, java fern, bolbitis, various mosses

As for getting them to attach, you can tie them on with thread, fishing line (my favorite), rubberband, zip-ties, etc. Or you can wedge them into crevices in the wood.

These pics are of my current tank. In the pic of the right side, may not be able to tell, but there is a large piece of driftwood underneath the anubias/java fern lace/java fern narrow leaf pile.

Pretty much what they said, but also you could get the Java Moss and buy a shower sponge thing (Round things with string and plastic mesh used with body wash) and take it apart, stringing the moss to it to form a matte that you could basically wrap around your wood, use as a carpet, or hang from a wall.

Thanks. On my way to the Lfs :)
