Need something small, help

I am trying to finish up the stocking on my new 29 gallon planted tank, and I need some ideas.

Right now there are 5 bloodfin tetra and a Gold Gourami. I now need the center piece. I am debating between a 1.3 setup of Cockatoo Triple Reds or a pair of Rainbow cichlids. Anyone got any other ideas? I already have some Kribs in another tank and want to do something different. Also, I have tried Rams and they keep dying, so I would rule them out as well. Anything else I am game for.

Rainbow cichlids are dull in color. I think the triple reds are the best idea. Stick to a 1/3 ratio at least though, or the male will run your female to death.
