hey guys... ive got a spare tank coming in a few days. 2 feet width. 18 inch height and 12 inch breadth.. needed to know if there are any really cool fish out there for my tank... i already have a planted tank with discus.. and tetras... ive kept loads of fish b4.. i just want something different... i was looking at a gar.. but i think my tank will be too small? is there anythign else u can reccomend... i want a predator. otherwise. i was lookin at a red devil... had enough of flowerhorns. not really into them anymore hehe.. plz suggest something thanks george:)

What exactly are the dimensions? Sounds WAY too small for a gar...What is "breadth"? "Depth"? Is it a bio cube? I think you should get a Betta!

u making fun of me? well i figured it would be too small.. hence i asked hmm... i got a flower horn .. the tank is 2 foot in width and 1 and a half in height and a foot in breadth.. its an albino flowerhorn. quite small at the moment!

No.

will do im just gonna set up the tank nicely today the fish is 2 inches i reckon. I was assured buy the shop keeper it would get good colour and if i fed it the rite food it would get a hump. wat is the rite food??

With a tank of those dimensions it would probably be a good idea for you to just stick to dwarfs. That sounds like a 30gal tank at most, which really isn't that well suited for the larger cichlids. There are TONS of dwarfs out there though that give the larger cichlids a run for their money.

My personal fav. are the dwarf Crenicichla! They just ROCK! :D There are several species available, although not sure how accessable they are there where you live. Perhaps you could get your LFS to order you some? They are great 'micro' predators with TONS of personality! :D

so u think this is too small for a flowerhorn? need a bigger tank? hmm... yeh i dont think i can get my hands on much of a variety of fish ..just to get a different coloured flowerhorn was a big thing hehe
