i recently moved my bed room to the basement guest room i need to put my 10 gallon tank in the new bedroom i need a design for a stand using one 10 foot 2x6 thats all i have and i probably wont be able to go to home depot till after the date i promised to have every thing moved.

The simplest tank with a height of 23.5 inches needs around 16 5/8' of lumber. So you really cannot make one with 10' of lumber. To make it easier you could make it 21'' high and would take exactly 16 feet of lumber(I would take about 1/2 off the height to accommodate for the width of the saw blade).

i guess i will just put it on the floor till i can get a stand or a ride to the store. do you think 4 five gallon buckets and a piece of mdf will hold it with little to no trouble? i guess if i sit on it and its fine im good right?

i was thinking cut two 10 inch pieces and two 24 inch pieces and then making a box type set up. i for got to mention i have a 20x40 or so piece of mdf.
so with this design i have a 5.5 inch tall set up that i can later use to lift the tank up when i put it on a 7 foot stand for my 90 gallon tank

why not put it ontop of table, cabinet, dresser, other normal houshold furniture?
