im thinking about putting a oscar 4convicts a jack dempsey green terror texas sevrum red parrot and maybe a festivum and some other fish i would be thankful for the advice thanks

Here are 3 problems I can think of at a glance

1) Way too many fish
2) Festivum will be killed and consumed very quickly
3) breeding convicts will create mayhem in this tank

I would say pleco/ and or catfish, oscar, JD, texas. Its and iffy with the Tex and Jd. I've heard that a convict make a good freind for and oscar but not if you want other fish

u propbaly already kno what ill say but i would go with a red devil pair and butti pair.
is it a 120 tall or long

I would like to see a breeding pair of Butti's vs a breeding pair of RD's. That would be freakin wild. Generally pairs of large aggressive fish should be kept to themselves. If you think convicts do a lot of damage when they're breeding imagine what two 15" Butterkoferi would do lol.

To answer the question I would get rid of the blood parrot(ugly) the Festivum (would get killed) and the cons (to small for the rest of the fish when full grown, and when breeding could be a problem) and do you really want convict fry all over your tank getting eaten and causing fights?

That leaves with 5 large fish and a pretty crowded tank as it is. You really don't need more. The Severum would need to be watched to make sure he doesn't get beat up. I would buy that one a little larger than the rest of the fish in there.

This is the most ridiculus stocking question I have ever seen online. Yes WAAAAAAAY to many fish for a 120. Hell I don't have near that size fish in my 120 and I worry about being overstocked.

Thats not way to many, Some people like there tanks over stalked, it just means more time you spend on your tanks. example jap style tank have like 20 fish in a 140.

Imho dont get an oscar they will cause alota damage in the tank untill they get there arse kicked. Convicts when breeding will kill most fish depending on there size.

In my 125 I got 3 oscars, 4 Cons (had 8 to start and the O's ate em), 1 blood parrot, and 1 african brown knife. Also had 20 Orino P-Bass in there for about 2 weeks, but they were divided. That was overkill and wont do it again! Way to much for one canister filter to take care of!

Well you would have to do about three water changes a week. Plus I don't think the fish would be happy all cramped up like that. just my opinion though. IMO this forum likes to overstock tanks though.
