I am getting a 150 gallon tank next week. But I have no clue what I want to stock it with, so I would appreciate if some one could give me some suggestions.

My tank is in your hands ;)

what are the tanks dimensions and filtration, no good suggesting a jag if you tank is only 15" wide.
also it depends what you like. you need to give us a clue of what you like with regards to aggression, predatory, tall, cylindrical, large, small, medium, community or wet pet.
there are just too many fish without some sort of a clue of what you like.

24" wide 24'' high and 59'' long, I think that's correct.
But if not, 60cm wide 60cm high and 150cm long.
I don't know what the filtration was, but I think it can handle some big fish.

I don't know what I want to stock the tank with, but some kind of monster would be great.
If I ask the question like this, if you had a 150 gallon tank, what would you stock it with?

I have a 150 and it's a community tank with all peaceful to semi-aggressive fish.

Seems like you have a tall 150 (mine is 72" long and not as wide as yours).

Theres a ton of options. I happen to like the activity in a community tank, being able to have active bottom dwellers, fast schooling swimmers, and then a few medium/small size cichlids to give the tank character, but I don't have a single fish that will be over 18".

Think I've made up my mind now, I have seen a giraffe catfish at my local pet store, It's probably a dwarf giraffe catfish.
I am going to buy him and have my three clown loaches and the catfish on the bottom. I will also get a pair of green terror, that's a start anyway, appreciate suggestions of what else I can stock the tank with.

My 5x2x2, like yours, has a synspilum, midas, rainbow cichlids, FM's, a pair of kribs, a bunch of BA tetras and BN plecos.

I would do 127 Neon or Cardinal Tetras, 67 Amano Shrimp, 31 Ottos, 23 Panda Corys, 13 hatchet fish 8 Bushy nose plecos. Use PFS as the substrate some nice pieces of drift wood a black background float some Water Sprite and 130 watts of 50/50 CP lighting. Done!
