I need suggestion on a bottom dweller that would be compatible with a green aro(10"), endlicheri(8"), and stingray(5-6"). I need one that would clean the bottom, because of all the left over food that the aro makes (pellets pieces:irked:). My old pleco used to do it but since the endli moved in i had to take him out. If its not a bottom dweller but will also clean up the mess i would also consider it. Thanks guys.

You could try a doradid maybe but most doradids are rather nocturnal. With stingrays, plecos are a trial and error and not worth the risk. What happened to the old pleco anyway? Simply vacuuming the food leftovers. Nothing wrong with doing it.

Okay im going to do some research on those doradid. The pleco is on my 50 with 2 feeders that grew to 5inch. I was going to give him back to the pet store, but i had him for 3 years so i decided to keep him. Vacuuming every day but i got tired of it and it seems to stress my aro. Right not i only have the aro and endli together. Thanks for the suggestion.

scats eat human poo in the wild, they might clean your tank up. also if you can find one a tandanus catfish. they generally stay round the middle but scavenge alot. they grow up to 3' but take a really long time to grow. mine has only grown about 3" in a year, and is only 8" and lives in a 600 gallon pond. they usually will not grow to full size in captivity. hey are an australian native fish and are quite common here, and popular. a small one (here in its native country) can cost anywhere between $5-$15 and larger ones $30-$50. they might be a bit or alot more expensive where you are, if you can find one. bad poins. they will eat small fish(not a problem in your tank) and have poisionous spines on their dorsal and pectorial fins. the poision is extremely painful and will make the area stung num. the pain will stay there for a number of hours. ive never been stung after about 18 months and i regularly handfeed it.

The tandanus catfish sound good but i think I'm going to have a hard time finding it :irked:. Oh ya, aren't scats brackish or something can they live in 100% freshwater? Another thing will parrot fish help?

Mayybe pond snails? I hear they do well, but your other fish might eat them. but be warned, they multiply quickly.
