Need suggestions for a new tank

I have a oscar and a gold channel cat, that will be moved into a new tank in about 3 months. I would like to house them together, i am new to channel cats so i am not shure if this is possible. what size of tank would i need or is this not reccomended? I have had oscars before, just not the channel catfish. I was thinking about a 75 gallon and if my channel cat outgrows that i even have a few ponds lined up that he would love. i would like several suggestions, and possibly is there any other fish that would be good for this tank as well?

Channel cat will live with the oscar, but it'll need to be moved outside eventually...They get rather large

ok well channels aren't tropical so theres one thing another is channels get very large. i belive 3ft the ponds would be the best idea if they are good sized ponds.

my cc wont live with any other fish and he is only 12in

my channel cat was VERY aggressive. i had to remove him b/c he was beating up ALL my other fish even though they were bigger than him. but it depends on the individual fish.
